Our Story
Maggie in an adorable, demanding and needy cat. She has very high standards, especially when it comes to how her litter box is cleaned. She is obsessed with her person and is very vocal about her needs - to be fed, adored, and cleaned up after.

Izzy, Maggie's person and the human behind behind the clean, comes by her attention to detail and love of cleaning honestly. At a young age she was handed some rags and a bucket to clean along-side Gma and Gpa on Saturday mornings. She loved cleaning and spending time with the elders. From them, she learned the old ways of doing things right. A proper clean takes time and cutting corners to save time is not a standard that Maggie will allow Izzy to lower. It's done right, not fast.

This experience came in handy when she started working at a summer camp where she went from camper, to counselor and was eventually handed the responsibility of Sanitation Supervisor.
For several summers Izzy cleaned up after hundreds of campers & dozens of Australian camp counselors. In addition to cleaning all areas of the camp, it was her responsibility to organize and maintain the cleaning supply closet, and assign/delegate sanitation tasks to other staff.
Bathrooms, cabins, kitchens, staff lounges & housing - if it could be trampled on, peed on or barfed in, Izzy was there to clean it. This heritage summer camp founded in 1935 is proud owner to a decades old cranky septic system. The knowledge of how to manage it is fiercely protected and passed down ceremoniously to the worthy with the holy ritual of the stick. To this day she is among the few who hold the secret knowledge of how to unclog it and is under oath to wield the stick only for good. Izzy has lifelong memories of her time at camp and learned many valuable life lessons there, along with the skills on how to sanitize and clean. Through this employment she earned her WHMIS certificate.

After summer 2021 was over and camp season ended, Izzy landed a job that she was made for - cleaning tech with a local house cleaning company. She quickly learned the tricks of the trade and honed her cleaning skills in a fast paced environment. When that opportunity came to an end, she decided to take up on her own. With the support of her family, and at the urging of a senior black cat, Maggie's Cleaning Service was created.
